In line with its campaign against transnational crimes, the Philippine Center on Transnational Crime trains the Police Regional Office 7 in using the MIND/FIND system.
Aimed at raising the awareness of NCB Manila’s sub-bureaus about the functionality and significance of the INTERPOL Databases, the said training was attended by composite representatives from the PRO7, National Bureau of Investigation Regional Office 7, and the Office of the Department of Foreign Affairs-7.
Police Director Felizardo M Serapio Jr. (Ret), Executive Director, PCTC/Head, IP Manila NCB Secretariat graced the opening of the training at the PRO7 Conference Room in Camp Sergio Osmeña, Cebu City on 11 February 2011.
“We should plan ahead against the enemy. Careful planning results in victory”, said Director Serapio, who emphasized that PCTC intends to help in strengthening the capability of the local law enforcement agencies in combating criminality in the Visayas region.
The first phase of the training delved on introducing the nature of the INTERPOL and the services that it can provide to the police community. The second phase allowed the participants to experience the actual searching using the FIND system.
